The Antenna King

Folke Hellbom founded the company Telekonsult AB in 1968. The company is located in Uppsala. By the colleagues in the business he has received the nickname The Antenna King, but mostly

Back then, in the beginning it was all analogue. Folke was out early with the digital technology, studying at schools in Sweden, Boston, Los Angeles, Sillicon Valley, San Francisco...

Telekonsult AB has in the Uppsala region installed CCTV, Central Antenna- and Cable-TV-networks for more than 15.000 apartments and has put up a large numbers of parabolic antennas for satellite-TV.

Today satellite-TV with digital satellite receivers are installed.

The Embassy of China in Stockholm used Telekonsult AB for the mission of installing Chinese-TV in time for the reunion of Hongkong with China.

Swedish television is now bringing digital transmissions to the whole of Sweden. The installations and deliverance of this type of equipments are made by Telekonsult AB.

Folke has made seven trips to all over China and has got several good friends.

It says that it will take at least three sittings with a Chinese person to make a friend. But then you will have him for ever.

Folke was in the year of 2002 invited as a speaker in China to a Broadband Fair.

The theme was:

The Scandinavian approach to the Broadband Technology.

About 600 persons from all over China was attending this lecture.

In 2004 he made another long trip around China and visited his friends again. It was his 7th trip.

Folke is now retired but has still a lot of customers refusing him to stop working.

Folke is now 71 in age but is still going strong !
